As a biologist (FSB)and originally a mycologust/plant pathologist and interested in genetic resources I am making a short visit to Riga very soon and think to learn more about their edible mushrooms, drying and marketing an of course local names and dishes in which used. ALatvian friend has recebtly been creating ‘dishes’ for me based on beans and mushrooms. An interesting combination. Any help in myresearch much appreciated Professor Colin Leakey

Congratulations!
As for a place to swim, you live in Annapolis. You’re surrounded by water. No excuses.
As for shakes, just throw spinach or chard in with your regular smoothie ingredients. They add bulk, but the juices or berries you use will mask the “green-ness” of the greens.

Yes… and apparently this infliction of his is also infectious as well. The boy has inspired this mid-something guy to get back to it.

I’ve dusted off the bike, bought a new pair of kicks and rediscovered the joy of feeling better after a grueling workout. All due to hearing these stories from him. Now, if only I could find a place to swim!

Spinach and chard shakes, eh? I’ll have to look that one up.
